U.S. High School/Homestay Program (HSH)

The U.S. High School/Homestay Program is for highly motivated international high school students from 15 to 18½ years of age who seek to increase their global understanding and international experience, personal improvement and enrichment, as well as academic advancement and excellence. Students accepted to the program are hosted by American volunteer host families, attend local high schools and participate in extracurricular and community activities for one semester or one academic year.

This program provides international students the unique opportunity to learn about U.S. society and culture as a member of an American family and as a student in an American high school. In exchange, students share their culture with their host families, classmates and friends in school, and neighbors and friends in the local community. Besides regular school classes and activities in host schools, ACES students also complete a Volunteer Project while on the program, which enhances their engagement with American society.

As a U.S. Department of State designated organization, ACES is empowered to issue the DS-2019 visa form for the program participants and to administer the program in the US.
