First up this week: Mandarin classes & other on-campus activities. Students are off to a great start, and have learned to introduce themselves and their families, talk about food, likes/dislikes, and numbers, among other things. Here are some snapshots of them hard at work in class:
We also recently visited the Great Mosque of Xi’an, China’s largest mosque, and explored the city’s Muslim quarter. Many students have returned to the Muslim quarter since then for other activities including karaoke. We took public buses to get there:
